User Experience at SAP covers all activities from conception and design of future SAP products to maintenance and improvements of existing applications.

As a User Researcher in the S/4 HANA UX Team you work together with a highly motivated and creative team of international Interaction Designers, User Researchers and Visual Designers. Your team is responsible to drive all application design activities for S/4HANA business areas. You closely collaborate with User Experience Designers, Product Owners and Development to enable users to do their business in the most effective and efficient manner.

Within our team, we practice a trust-based working model. If you need to work flexibly from another location or at another time you can do so given your manager’s agreement.


  • You are a strong User Researcher with empathy for the end user

  • Gathering end user requirements by organizing and executing end user site visits, focus groups, workshops and user days

  • Collection and synthesis of results, presenting findings to multiple stakeholders

  • Verification of designs through reviews, validations and formative usability testing with end users

  • Evangelize user research in product teams

  • Give internal trainings on UX methodology


Required skills:

  • University degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction or comparable fields is required

  • Knowledge about qualitative and quantitative user research methods

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German

You will be working in international, interdisciplinary teams. With your strong communication-skills you convey your ideas to designers and non-designers. To design business applications, you need to understand complex business processes and apply analytical and creative thinking. Being a solid team player with good writing, presentation and time management skills is a must.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience in working within a B2B environment

  • Experience with remote user research tools and platforms
