PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Tax specialist dealing with complex tax issues within the Global Tax Team. Taking on corporate and worldwide responsibilities and reporting to the Head of International Taxes – with focus on tax topics associated with International Tax queries on tax audits, withholding tax, permanent establishment questions, transfer pricing, intercompany charging / processes and cross border transactions.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASK
Dealing with challenging tax queries in international business in a German headquartered group with deep understanding of international tax legislation
Support to establish a framework to ensure tax compliance in multiple countries
Provide tax support on strategic tax issues, tax audits or ongoing challenges
Support tax consideration on financing, funds flow management etc.
Support tax optimization and tax incentive planning and effective tax rate management for SAP subsidiaries
Support business on any kind of cross border business
Assist with communication and negotiations with government authorities relating to tax matters
Provide interpretation and guidance on tax laws and regulations
Lead tax projects requiring co-ordination with other functions/lines of business
Work on optimization international tax processes in coordination with tax colleagues and other departments throughout the company
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Specialization in international tax issues (including, cross border transactions, organizational restructuring, withholding taxes, transfer pricing, permanent establishments)
Innovative ''solution seeker'' rather than a ''problem definer''
Ability to work independently and under time pressure
Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well in a global/virtual team
Fluency in English and German
Solid expertise in international taxation; preferably: Qualified Tax Advisor or comparable qualification with a focus on transfer pricing and international taxation
6 – 8 years working experience in tax consulting and or tax function of a multinational company with a focus on international taxes
