PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Global Cloud Services is part of SAP’s Global Business Operations board area. Our unit is responsible for SAP’s global cloud infrastructure and shared delivery services, including datacenters, hardware, operations tools, services and working in close collaboration with our IT partners. We define the datacenter strategy and deliver infrastructure services to all of SAP Cloud solutions worldwide. Our key objective is to support SAP’s strong business growth in cloud and ensure utmost reliability of the underlying cloud infrastructure services.
In doing so our Cloud Supplier Management team actively engages with our strategic partners and suppliers to innovate our cloud service offering and accelerate its global rollout. You will be part of an expert group located in Germany that collaborates intensively with product, sales and strategy teams across SAP as well as with our global partner ecosystem.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Within the Cloud Partner Management team you will be responsible for these tasks:
Safeguarding by tightly monitoring and driving partner delivery performance ensuring partners are fulfilling their contractual obligations
Benchmark performance and further evolve the Cloud partner ecosystem
Constantly assess introducing & onboarding existing or new partners
Ensure LoB Partner delivery against demand
Actively develop Partner Relationships
Alignment with procurement, delivery & service management and portfolio management
Work with our sales and market units to define a suitable partner play to cover specific markets
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Computer Science required from an accredited university, MBA or advanced degree in related discipline preferred
Track Record of actively managing a vendor/supplier relationship
Understanding of cloud infrastructure architecture and service models
Program management in international and global initiatives
High proficiency in external communications and C-level presentations
- Vendor management, Purchasing, Contracting and negotiation
Experience gained in purchasing services with focus on Public IaaS partners as well as general infrastructure services
Defining a Partner Ecosystem / Vendor Strategy and developing several suppliers/vendors to efficiency targets
Supplier / Service delivery management, e.g. for managed services, and related contracting
experience managing complex and high volume business in multi-location and multi-partner environments
