The SAP S/4HANA for Customer Management Engineering and Delivery Unit is a global development organization with locations in Europe, India, China and North America. The organization is currently responsible to transform a set of traditional portfolio assets and to grow highly innovative newer assets under the SAP S/4HANA brand. The product portfolio asset SAP CRM which is serving thousands of customers is being transformed to a next software generation to strengthen the Digital Core of S/4HANA and to provide customers an innovative future software solution in the product area of Customer Management Sales & Service.

You will contribute to the development of our product as part of a highly interacting and global team. You will be exposed to the key SAP products like SAP S/4HANA and SAP CRM, and the newest SAP technologies like SAP cloud technologies and the SAP HANA database. The unit is also highly engaged in strategic customer projects and with other development units like SAP Industry Cloud Development (e.g. Telecommunication, Utilities, High-Tech, Public Sector, …), SAP Leonardo, SAP Application Innovation Services.


Our business unit is inventing in a new strategic solution for Service Management functionalities for SAP’s flagship product SAP S/4HANA (on premise and cloud). The new service solution will cover scenarios for customer services, asset centric services, commercial services and comprehensive end-to-end predictive and analytical capabilities. These features are based on functionalities of the existing SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) solution, and shall become available on premise and in the cloud.

You will work on challenging development projects in an ambitious and highly efficient team bringing the scrum team product backlog as an essential part of our Customer Management Services product into execution and in time and highly quality delivery. The new Customer Management Services solution will provide full end-to-end service management with state of the art innovations in the field service management area like (deep) machine learning, predictive maintenance and smart automation. As a (Senior) Developer Predictive & Analytics, you will be responsible to design and deliver end-to-end analytical and predictive functionality for our Customer Management Services solution.


As a (Senior) Developer Predictive & Analytics you will focus on the following tasks:

  • Work as one member of the scrum team, closely with product owner (product specialist), peer colleagues, and quality specialist to hands-on coding, design and test to deliver best solutions to our customers

  • Closely collaborate with customers, POs and UX/UI designers on the design and implementation of analytical and predictive tools and features harmonized across the entire solution

  • Ability to analyze and solve issues in existing and new code

  • Continuously improve the development efficiency

  • Deliver on time with high quality

  • Willingness and ability to learn new subjects such as business processes quickly

  • Proficient overall product knowledge

  • Willingness to share domain expertise within team



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, computer science or related fields

  • Passion for quality, on time delivery and customer focus

  • Open-minded personality, team player-mentality and self-motivated person

  • Knowledge about SAP product standards, cloud qualities, development guidelines in the development environment of S/4HANA

  • Good knowledge of agile development methodologies specifically Scrum at SAP

  • Good communication skills

  • Fluency in English and German (written and spoken)

  • A minimum of 2 (Senior Developer 6) years of experience in software development (ABAP) and/or customer implementation in the area of SAP CRM or SAP ERP solutions.


  • Proficient knowledge and expertise in the area of (deep) machine learning(experience with SAP Leonardo ML would be a plus)

  • Knowledge in the area sales and service business processes

  • Understanding the concepts of in-memory technologies, such as SAP HANA
