PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
We as the S/4HANA Master Data Management organization, under the Products & Innovation board area drive “Digital Transformation” within S/4HANA. The Master Data Management team as whole is responsible for creating, maintaining and delivering SAP’s Master Data Management offerings. In the context of S/4HANA, a consistent and holistic view on master data is the foundation for all our end-to-end processes.
In the MDM Services team, we focus on building microservices natively on SAP Cloud Platform to provide reusable services for managing entities like Business Partner, Customer, Supplier, Product Master etc. in the cloud and to create a registry of master data belonging to distributed cloud solutions. MDM Services provide a means of loosely coupled integration of shared master data.
We are currently setting up a new team that will take end to end responsibility for value adding services based on the master data registry. We are looking for talented, goal oriented, motivated and proactive team players with excellent technical, problem solving and communication skills coupled with a willingness to take initiative and effectively apply the knowledge gained towards accomplishment of project/program goals.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
You will support the development and carry out end-to-end software lifecycle defined activities.
Collaborate with engineering and product management as well as other service groups
Improve system landscape support in the assigned functional areas of responsibility
Independent assurance of effective system operations along the software lifecycle
Deploy, monitor, and administer Cloud applications and the underlying services for Cloud (e.g. AWS, OpenStack, Docker, Kafka, etc.) technologies and in remote and local data centres
Build automation scripts and frameworks to improve operational processes and procedures
Learn, deploy and document newer technologies for the potential deployment of services following a development and release life cycle
Ensure the best security practices are followed and enforced via automated tasks
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
University degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related field
Strong programming and scripting fundamentals
Passionate about Continuous Build, Integration, Test, and Delivery systems
Experience with continuous integration platforms
Experience with AWS, OpenStack, Docker, Kafka and Splunk
Ability to independently identify and solve problems at hand
Ability to effectively communicate with various teams and levels of management
Previous experience delivering a new product, including methodologies
Interest in learning new technologies and in personal growth
High ambition, drive for and focus on results and execution
Excellent German and English language skills - written and verbal
6-8 years of experience in Software Development
At least 2 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations
