Position

The SAP Ariba Sales Manager MEE is responsible for the profitable revenue growth and overall success of the client base within the geographic market or region. The responsibilities of the role are to insure that customers are highly engaged, with a focus on delivering long term customer success through customer focused leadership, support and development of the Customer Engagement Executives in the region and also supporting global customers. The critical business objectives also include customer-focused leadership and people development by effectively developing the skills and capabilities of the Customer Engagement Executives on their team. The role works closely with Sales Leadership across the SAP commercial organization and the Cloud lines of business to insure the following;

  • SSW bookings for new customers and the expansion of revenue in existing customers in the region

  • Motivating and supporting the customer engagement teams to introduce and deploy new innovation across all assign accounts

  • Engaging customers to support the development and execution of engagement plans that drive solution adoption and improve the probability of contract renewal and expansion

  • Guide the CEE’s to develop and execute Network Growth plans that insure the adoption and use of the Ariba Business Network

  • Deliver improved NPS on a YoY basis across all regional customers

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Work cross functionally with SAP Ariba Leadership teams to deliver customer success

  • Drive consistent and sustained regional revenue growth within a global delivery model

  • Provide leadership and guidance with focus on Talent development

  • Maximize Regional customer’s use of SAP Ariba solutions with emphasis on Ariba Business Network adoption

  • Partner with the SAP Industry Business Unit (IBU) to leverage their knowledge and resources in support of customer success

  • Execute on business plans that consistently meet or exceed forecasts

  • Develop senior client relationships and aim to serve as a trusted advisor

  • Demonstrate broad and deep knowledge of spend management processes and develop the skills and expertise of all Customer Engagement Executives

  • Responsible for mentoring, inspiring, leading, training and guiding team members to meet their performance and career path plans

  • Actively participate with employee review processes, both at the project and company levels

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA preferred

  • 12 years of experience, through a combination of technology, procurement and / or sales leadership

  • Proven technology experience in the following areas including Business Analytics, Sourcing, Reverse Auctions, Order Management / Procurement, Finance, Contracts and Supplier Performance, strongly preferred

  • Experience in business to business commerce and networked business models

  • Experience leading and managing services-based, cross-functional, matrixed organizational teams

  • Demonstrated experience in project and client management

  • German language skills (C1 level)
