PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Organizationally located within Global Controlling, the P&I Controlling Team drives optimal financial performance within Products & Innovation board area. If to be more precise, our P&I Strategic and Cross Controlling team coordinates and consolidates financial planning and analysis such as forecasting, budgeting, actual analysis across all management units within P&I and ensures that the P&L statement for the Board Area accurately reflects the financial performance. Besides, the team defines guidelines, drives standardization and automation for planning and reporting while reducing redundancy and high manual planning & reporting efforts.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

During the internship, you will have the chance to gain a deep insight into controlling department. You will support the whole spectrum of Controlling activities: from master data management to complex analysis and reporting. You will contribute to help SAP make optimal financial decisions driving sustainable growth.

In particular, your assistance will be expected in the following matters:

  • Master data management

  • Budget and forecast processes

  • Reporting and analysis

  • Budget transfers and intercompany charging

  • Ad-hoc tasks and special projects

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student at a university or university of applied sciences in Business Administration, Economics, Maths, Accounting or a comparable field of study with focus on Finance/Controlling, ideally with a pre-degree or comparable duration of studies with sound results

  • Computer skills: good knowledge in MS Office (especially Excel/PowerPoint)

  • Language skills: fluent in German and English – both written and spoken

  • Soft skills: excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a global team

  • High degree of proactivity

  • Strong get-it-done mentality

  • Willingness to deliver accurate results

  • First practical experience in Controlling or Finance desired
