The “SAP Cloud Platform UxP” department is responsible for delivering state of the art Web frameworks and services for the User Interfaces of the SAP applications.

This includes the development of the "UI Theme Designer" which is SAP's strategic tool for customer specific theming and branding.

UI Theme Designer is a HTML5 application built with SAPUI5 running on multi cloud platforms based on Cloud Foundry and SAP Cloud platform.

We are looking for an (associate) developer in order to strengthen the existing development team who is in charge of the UI Theme Designer.


After an initial on-the-job training, you contribute to the implementation of the UI Theme Designer by using modern browser standards like HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript and Node.js. You also participate in the Quality assurance and operations for the UI Theme Designer. You will further have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art web and cloud technologies like Node.js, Cloud Foundry, jQuery and SAPUI5 and incorporate own ideas by building prototypes.


Required skills

  • Good Bachelor, Master or Diploma degree of Computer Science or a related discipline

  • Profound knowledge of Web Technologies like JavaScript, HTML and CSS

  • Flexibility and willing to learn new subject matters quickly

  • Fluent German and very good English skills

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of SAPUI5, Node.js or Cloud Foundry

  • Knowledge in object oriented programming languages, preferably Java or ABAP Objects

  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, e.g. Scrum


  • Graduates are welcome as well as experienced Web developers with at least 2 years of practical experience in the Web UI development

  • Experience with JavaScript Frameworks, e.g. Node.js or jQuery, and supporting different browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome) is a plus
