The Data Management & landscape Transformation provides software that meets the requirements of our SAP internal and external customers to migrate, convert, replicate and scramble the business data of SAP’s application tailored to the market needs.

As part of Big Data department the technology will be leveraged in SAP’s new Flagship product SAP Data Hub in many scenarios within the overall product umbrella of SAP Leonardo.

Changed business requirements often result in the realignment of a company’s business or corporate structure, which can be reflected in various IT-based activities: Consolidation, harmonization and optimization of processes, reorganization of corporate structures as well as reduction of IT-complexity help to realize our customer’s business goals.

We, the SAP Data Management & Landscape Transformation (DM<) team, serve SAP customers to better manage their data and transform their IT landscape in a digital world. Our offerings are based on three pillars:

  • S/4 Data Migration Cockpit, BW/4 Remote Conversion (Migration Technology, including pre-configured Content and automated validation) deployed as part of the S/4HANA and BW/4HANA Standard Software for Cloud and On Premise.

  • As part of the SAP Data Hub facilitate the connection to SAP’s application and the business data exchange based on a semantic layer

  • Software products, innovative tools, and technologies for scalable solutions to implement – business-driven, innovation-driven, or TCO-driven transformation requirements and (real-time) data provisioning needs, e.g. the SAP Landscape Transformation software (SAP LT) and the SAP Test Data Migration Server (TDMS) and the SAP LT Replication Server for HANA or technologies like the Near-Zero Downtime technique supporting our very large customers in their System Conversion to S/4HANA.The latest development in this area is the SLT4Cloud – real time data replication between application within the cloud, e.g between SAP Cloud Platform and S/4 public cloud and between cloud and On Premise, e.g. to realize a hybrid central Finance Scenario.


As an associate developer / developer at DM & LT, you will work in a global development team that is focused on migration technology.

Improving existing scenarios, as well as designing and implementing new scenarios will be equally important parts of your work. Development requirements are often driven by concrete customer projects such that the value you create becomes tangible quickly, and a direct involvement in customer projects is possible.

Your tasks will include:

  • Designing and developing migration functions as part of the SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit.

  • Developing services, procedures, and software tools to complement the DM & LT migration solutions which will be used by customers, partners, and the DM & LT consulting team.

  • Supporting customer projects, ramping up new DM & LT migration solutions in collaboration with DM & LT consulting and development colleagues.


Required qualification and skills

  • Very good university degree, preferably in computer science, engineering or sciences

  • Programming experience

  • Very good German and English language skills

  • You combine a structured problem solving approach with a positive ‘can do’ attitude

Professionals are also welcome. As an experienced developer, you will preferably have acquired competences in one or more of the following areas:

  • SAP Basis development or basis consulting

  • Data migration

  • ABAP OO development

  • Performance optimized programming and database optimization
