PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Digital Business Services launched a transformation program to redefine its portfolio, and change the services bookings mix towards SAP S/4HANA, Cloud and next-gen intelligent technologies. It is our goal to have a customer-first, seamless collaboration between License Sales, Services Sales and Delivery so that we win together. To provide end-to-end solutions to our customers, we will strengthen the coordination of service and license sales at the customer interface. Through SAP Services transformation we seek to improve our sales productivity and enable our front-line sales professionals to dedicate more time on portfolio specialization and customer interaction.
The Service Advisor is essential to making this transformation a great success so that SAP wins big with unbeatable license and services sales motions! The Service Advisor reports directly to the Regional Head of Services Deal Desk.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Service Advisor has a thorough understanding of SAP Solutions and Services portfolio, their value, features and applicability in license and services sales plays. Service Advisor is a strong contributor in driving business impact for the Services Organization, Industry Account Executives (IAE) and Services Sales teams in several Market Units.
Key job expectations:
Adopt and promote standardized approaches and simplified process for selling SAP Services.
Grow IAEs' participation in selling SAP Solutions that include SAP Services.
Support IAE in driving Services sales and be the “go-to” person for all Services related topics.
Support Industry AEs to identify and qualify their services opportunities.
Drive impact on Services bookings based on opportunities originating from IAE
Based on deal qualification, assign service opportunities to the organizational unit which is best qualified to drive these opportunities to success, e.g. Services Solution Specialist (SSEM) and Solutioning Center (for highly complex service deals), and Deal Desk processing (for low-complexity/low touch service deals).
Maximize conversion rate and deal velocity by pulling the right winning teams together to drive IAEs' most important services deals.
Subject matter expert on simplified selling tools such as Harmony CPQ, Callidus, Harmony Insights (Account Planning).
Act as trusted advisor for internal customers (SAM – Services Account Manager, IAE, SSEMs, SSPs – Services & Support Partner, TQMs – Technical Quality Manager).
Able to coach customers on Services offerings, solutions and how to position services offerings to solve business and IT challenges.
Has great written communication skills.

Experienced in managing a matrix organization
Knowledge of SAP’s business processes
Expert level knowledge of SAP's Sales-related platforms, e.g. CRM- Harmony/Callidus
Strong communications skill (English), open communicator and listener, Ability to effectively collaborate and engage with Executives and Management
Flexible, self-driven, pragmatic and result-oriented attitude
University degree (Business Administration, Science, Information Technology)
Other APJ languages is a big plus (Japanese, Korean, Hindi)
7 years of working in Services Sales, and/or Services Solutioning, Services Deal Desks, and/or Commercials
Ability to drive execution within area of responsibility and experience in aligning cross-topic objectives & approaches
Engagement on Senior Management level
Expected Travel: 0 - 10%
