SAP SuccessFactors is accelerating its transition to Cloud Native. In order to reach our goal, we need to create autonomous, self-organizing, empowered, and continuously improving teams. We are looking for a seasoned Agile Coach specialized in Software Engineering to join our global team of Agile Coaches, who knows how to work with a team of highly skilled engineers in a fast moving agile environment. As an Agile Coach, you are passionate about agile, communication, group dynamics and coaching. You are not afraid to raise issues and drive change to remove impediments from your team and to improve the organization.

  • help platform/application teams deliver faster and more reliably to the Cloud in a fast moving agile environment

  • increase development productivity and reduce TCO

  • help to build a full feature team


  • Teach teams in Shanghai agile methodologies

  • Coach teams facing tough challenges e.g. related to how they work and interact together

  • Coach & adopt Extreme Programming practices such as clean code, unit testing, test driven development, pair programming, continuous integration, collective ownership, etc

  • Help teams to learn and apply refactoring in legacy code context

  • Help improving test automation via applying agile testing strategy in daily work

  • Help eliminating rework and build a continuous learning culture

  • Facilitate learning through workshops, meetings, and team offsites

  • Actively try to identify waste and areas of improvement

  • Develop the leadership team

  • In long run, help our engineers become a DevOps engineer and build a full feature team


  • 5 years Java expertise, deep knowledge on web frameworks, DI frameworks, persistency technologies like JDBC and JPA

  • 3 years of experience with Extreme Programming practices (TDD, CI, pair programming, clean code, ...)

  • 3 years of experience working as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner or Team Lead with agile software development teams

  • Working with legacy code and experience in refactoring

  • Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD process for enterprise SaaS and on-prem applications using tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, etc

  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is a plus

  • Knowledge of Chef, Puppet is a plus

  • Knowledge of major J2EE servlet container or application servers: Tomcat, Jboss, glassfish and Web Servers is preferred

  • Exposure to Operation Intelligence and experience with tools like Splunk is a plus

  • Experience in designing and maintaining cloud-based solutions is a plus
