As part of the Global Corporate Affairs (GCA) team, the EMEA Integrated Communications intern role is focused on sustaining and supporting the SAP business for 6 months from September 1, 2018. The role is responsible for maintaining relationships with external stakeholders especially media, analysts and bloggers, internal communications, employee engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility comms. Reporting and sharing the learnings and successes to the Communications teams are also part.

The main objective of this role is to co-ordinate the multiple communications activities of SAP Netherlands ensuring the positive positioning of SAP NL in the Media with articles, news releases etc. The role involves the co-ordination of Media attendance at key events.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for implementing objectives and key messages to build perception and maintain brand equity to meet the global and local strategies – linking communications practices to business goals

  • Engage with media (print, online, broadcast), Bloggers, Industry Analysts

  • Social media, messaging, press releases, customer wins, success stories, communications toolkits, competitive positioning, responses to crisis

  • Work collaboratively with the global central team to roll out topics, programs and message platforms into the region to increase engagements with national and international business and trade media

  • Demonstrate to external audiences that SAP is an innovative company that drives business value for our customers by driving the story pipeline and coordination of local media events and activities, and participating in global media events e.g. SAPPHIRE

  • Expand use of social media

  • Collate content from the EMEA team and produce the monthly GCA update report

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Native in Dutch and fluent English

  • Exposure to the software / IT industry

  • Undertaking a degree in communications, sales, or marketing

  • Capable of managing relationships across a global organization and highly organized

  • Ability with xls and PPT – good at following up and meeting deadlines
