PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The SAP Ariba Senior consultant is responsible for assists customers in the development of processes and procedures which leverage Ariba solution functionality being deployed, supports t he design process with customers leveraging Ariba Best Practices as appropriate, uses knowledge of customer’s business and industry to assess findings and shape solutions, ensures client success within the realm and scope of the Statement of Work (SOW). This consultant is part of an integrated team prepared to speaks Ariba (functional/Technical) to a variety of customers from different departments, at different levels, and in large or small groups (e.g., client project manager, technical team).
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
Set up of large and complex engagements or project at large accounts strategic projects and ramp-up projects and oversee the delivery of projects related to successful engagement or program execution. Assess, document and communicate risk for the engagement. Position SAP Activate as delivery methodology
Act as trusted advisor to customer’s executives on the overall project areas. Develops positive relationships with the client team while delivering tasks.
Define appropriate delivery model for customer project as a composition of pre-defined services, on-site and/or remote delivery
Own the engagement and project plan and be responsible for delivery of its major elements including project business objectives, scope and solution within quality criteria, on time and budget.
Translate generalized customer business goals and objectives into concrete strategy and tactical delivery plans for the engagement or project.
Execution of the project plan and ownership of program success in front of SAP leadership team including customer and partner satisfaction, SAPs program finances, resources, SAP’s intellectual capital etc.
Establish and maintain credible relationship with senior customer buyers and stablish a formal action with your Ariba Delivery Executive assign
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT / TEAMWORK
Maintain program documentation and updates, analyze lessons learned and actively share with the Field Services Program Management Practice for utilization on future programs.Organize knowledge capturing activities at programs and ensure retention on high quality intellectual capital for SAP Field Services practices.
Participate in the development of project management best practices, examples, templates and SAP’s Program Management Methodology. Ability to train, mentor and develop other project managers in project management methodologies and their application.
Maintains regular communication with team members (e.g., face-to-face, via voicemails, emails)
Proactively collaborates with teammates to anticipate and respond to issues that could impact solution delivery (e.g., change in scope, arising issues).Partners internal and external resources to optimize client impact.
Proactively supports team members for the better good of the client engagement and Ariba.
Assists in coordinating activities between the customer and Ariba internal teams such as Product and Technical Support, Field Technology, Product Management, and Education.
Ability to train, mentor and develop other project managers(new joiners). Demonstrated ability to successfully work with multi-functional teams. Shares knowledge and experience through training and communications with customers and internal project managers
LEADERSHIP / MANAGEMENT
Strong leadership and people management skills is required. Leading in matrix organization and without formal authority
Multicultural sensitivity and work in international environment with global clients
Experience leading cross functional teams within a formalized methodology.
Experience in managing issues, scope and quality while bring projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements
Liaison and consultative skills: negotiating skills within a context of high political sensitivity and conflicting interests.
Strong writing, mentoring, decision making, communication, and meeting facilitation skills; ability to utilize a combination of formal authority and persuasion skill sets.
Ability in managing internal and external client expectations on program requirements and deliverables.
BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Accounting, Finance or equivalent ERP core knowledge areas.
PMP certification is required. PMP-ACP (or Agile similar certification) is a must
7 – 10 years of project management experience in large scale, high risk, or strategic projects. 5 – 7 years of supervisory or coaching experience in teambuilding and leading teams.
Experience in ERP systems implementation and process re-engineering through consulting firm
Availability to travel outside your base 80 to 100%
English Language: Fluent written and conversation.

DESIRE QUALIFICATION (PLUS)
Experience in managing international projects
SAP Activate Deployment Methodology. Certification will be a must. Intermediate knowledge of one or more ERP Modules/Areas : ABAP, PI, SD, GRC NFE, GRC AC, WS, PS, PM, FI.
Intermediate knowledge in Procurement/Purchasing Business Core Processes and Transactional Business Processes
Industry focus is an asset (1-3 industries or sectors)
