PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

The SAP Ariba Senior consultant is responsible for assists customers in the development of processes and procedures which leverage Ariba solution functionality being deployed, supports t he design process with customers leveraging Ariba Best Practices as appropriate, uses knowledge of customer’s business and industry to assess findings and shape solutions, ensures client success within the realm and scope of the Statement of Work (SOW). This consultant is part of an integrated team prepared to speaks Ariba (functional/Technical) to a variety of customers from different departments, at different levels, and in large or small groups (e.g., client project manager, technical team).

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

  • Customer Focus, assisting customers through the lifecycle of an Ariba implementation and contributes to functional and technical design documents.

  • Knows customer problems and anticipates their needs. Assists with identifying client issues and communicates to effectively resolve problems and recognizes the service needs associated with a client-focused business model.

  • Dedicated to delivering exceptional results, builds solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at Ariba and externally at the client).

  • Monitor project plan tasks side by side with Project manager to help ensure deliverables are on time, within budget and synthesizes learnings into a logical story using quantitative/qualitative data and/or sound reasoning.

  • Quickly learns new Ariba solutions in order to present them credibly and confidently to clients and Ariba consultants and customers.

  • Displays proactive communication with the client (i.e., face-to-face meetings and phone calls are more frequent than emails)

TEAMWORK

  • Maintains regular communication with team members (e.g., face-to-face, via voicemails, emails. Develops positive relationships with the client team while delivering tasks.

  • Proactively collaborates with teammates to anticipate and respond to issues that could impact solution delivery (change in scope, arising issues). Partners internal and external resources to optimize client impact.

  • Proactively supports team members for the better good of the client engagement and Ariba.

  • Assists in coordinating activities between the customer and Ariba internal teams such as Product and Technical Support, Field Technology, Product Management, and Education.

  • Ability to train, mentor and develop other consultants (new joiners)

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with multi-functional teams

  • Shares knowledge and experience through training and communications with customers and internal Ariba consultants.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in deploy at least one of these 2 Ariba lines (completely, all modules): Strategic Sourcing : Sourcing, Contracts and SLP/SIPM. Operational/Tactical : Ariba Buying, Catalogs, Network

  • Ariba Solution, ERP and Functional Industry expertise

  • A minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years consulting experience in ERP systems implementation and process re-engineering through national or regional consulting firm

  • Solves client problems by using Ariba solutions. At least 2 real samples (use cases) will be required during interview.

  • Advanced knowledge of spend management strategies and/or procurement/purchasing, strategic sourcing related areas.

  • Excellent understanding of SAP solutions and of the consulting business processes and functions / Highly developed business acumen.

  • Certification in SAP MM Module

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong analytical and organizational talent. Ability to use PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions also).

BASIC MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Accounting, Finance or equivalent ERP core knowledge areas.

  • Availability to travel outside your base 50 > 80%

  • Languages :

  • English: Written and conversation (business basic at least)

  • Other languages: desirable

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION (PLUS)

  • Knowledge of one or more : ABAP, PI, SD, GRC NFE, GRC AC, WS, PS, PM, FI.

  • Industry focus is an asset (1-3 industries or sectors)

  • Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent experience is desired.

  • SAP Ariba Integrations expertise (Upstream or Downstream)

  • Certification in SAP Ariba modules

  • Methodology :SAP Activate basic knowledge; Waterfall and Agile Methodology; Microsoft Excel/Project/PowerPoint
