KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND TASKS:
To help maintain this level of excellence, the SAP PartnerEdge organization is setting up a shared service team to manage partner due diligence (DD) data collection and management related to partner’s recruitment and ongoing due diligence requirements within SAP Partner programs. This role will manage twelve Due Diligence specialists and will work closely with corporate compliance colleagues, partner recruiters and partner managers as well as reporting to the PartnerEdge Program management team. Successful candidates would also be responsible for the overall management of partner DD records within SAP systems and ensuring SAP partners and their sales team coming to the end of their DD validity period would have necessary notifications and support to ensure a smooth renewal process. This shared service team manager would train, coach and support the Due Diligence Specialists ensuring excellent communication skills with partners and other third parties to generate the required information whilst acting professionally and ethically. A key element of the role will be the collection, reviewing and presenting of reports created by the team and management analysis of activities, status updates and weekly reporting requirements to senior management. Due diligence is an extremely important topic in SAP and partner health in this area is of paramount importance to the SAP board. Language skills would be an advantage (especially Chinese, Japanese or Russian).
Overall management and responsibility of the team that carries out the following tasks
Manage DD process for newly recruited partners and renewal every 2 years
Compile all required DD documentation (Dow Jones report, Credit questionnaire, partner forms, DD level 2 check, …), coordinate DD level 2 activities with 3rd party agency including POs, check data quality / consistency and upload in DD system for compliance approval
Manage system updates (PRM, DD system) and next Partner Lifecycle actions in alignment with LCIO decision
Recognize and escalate any red flags/discrepancies to the compliance teams.
Work very closely with Compliance Shared Services Management to ensure collaboration, efficient cross-functional operating practices. Develop mutually agreed SLAs.
Ensures high quality risk & security reporting to corporate and regional/divisional management (e.g. through Board DD Reports, Executive DD Committees and other regular, global/ divisional risk reporting processes)
Develops and coaches DD Specialists and manages performance
High level of risk & security management thought leadership and deep understanding of high risk areas for the company to be shared with team to help them recognized potential risk areas in DD information gathering
Advises Executive Management on best practice for DD and risk management and definition of related strategies
Working with PartnerEdge and LCIO colleagues, develop global risk & security management best practices, concepts, and recommended practices for the integration of DD management processes into business processes
Represents SAP's DD management thought leadership externally and internally, and maintains an internal/external DD network working with relevant partner employees
Drives DD assessments for high-priority activities and presents as required Board relevant reports to senior management for presentation to Executive Board members
Possesses cross-board Area understanding and establishes/maintains strong collaboration models with key Risk Management stakeholders
Manages a team in line with SAP’s leadership competencies of a team- or mid-level manager.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Typically 8-10 years business experience (up to five years thereof at a management level)
3-5 years risk & security management experience
Fluent written and spoken English skills
University Degree (e.g. in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, IT/Computer Science or Law)

Preferred to have any of:
