PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP S/4HANA as SAP’s next generation business suite lies at the core of SAP’s strategy. The S/4HANA SAP Cloud Platform Enablement team is a group within the S/4HANA organization that works on innovative Cloud applications and services in the context of SAP S/4HANA, built on SAP’s extension platform SAP Cloud Platform. At the same time, we also enable our partners and customers to innovate in the cloud and integrate seamlessly with our core products.

We are working on a Java-based SDK and a fully automated out-of-the-box Continuous Delivery toolkit for projects built with the SDK. EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

We are looking for highly motivated students who will help us in expanding the SAP S/4HANA Cloud SDK and its Continuos Delivery toolkit, which are used by partners and customers of SAP. You will be directly part of the development team working together with designers, developers, product experts, and scrum masters to deliver value to our ecosystem. You participate in Scrum meetings to identify your tasks to support the development team as much as possible and to ensure high quality across sprints.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student - preferred field(s) of study: Computer Science and related fields

  • Passion for software engineering

  • Experience with the JVM platform and related languages, technologies and frameworks (e.g., Java, Groovy, Java EE, Spring, Hystrix, Guava)

  • Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, npm, etc.

  • Familiarity with Linux and typical shell commands

  • Knowledge in DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Jenkins, Docker is beneficial

  • Excellent English and German language skills - written and oral
