PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The mission of SAP’s Innovation Center Network is to create new growth businesses for SAP by pioneering new markets and disruptive technologies. As part of this endeavor, the Innovation Center Network explores new business cases based on blockchain technologies. In a flexible and fast manner, the newly founded blockchain team, build from developers, designers, and architects comes up with tangible solutions for this high-priority inquiry.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Join the SAP Innovation Center as a Working Student for a rapidly growing team focusing on blockchain technology & use-cases. You will be part of a technology-focused group that is built to creatively engineer new solutions applying blockchain technology to business applications for SAP while working in a startup-like environment and atmosphere. In this role you are given the opportunity to help build new projects from the ground up working closely with internal and external partners. Your ability to handle and drive tasks independently and your attitude to produce quality results allow you to support a wide variety of projects. Experience with blockchain is no must-have, but your interest to explore and understand new technologies will enable you to act as an advocate for blockchain technology quickly.

  • Coordinate details of events such as conferences, trade shows, partner events and virtual events

  • Calculate budgets and ensure they are adhered to

  • Manage all the onsite logistics

  • Schedule and manage relationships with event speakers, vendors, and participants

  • Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met with internal and external stakeholders

  • Initiate, coordinate and/or participates in all efforts to publicize event through various channels such as field sales communications, social media, customer associations, email marketing and more

  • Edit and design promotional materials

  • Prepare presentations

  • Negotiate and secure event space

  • Secure sponsorships

  • Coordinate event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student (f/m) at a university or a university of applied sciences

  • Preferred fields of study: Business, Marketing, Communications

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office

  • Language skills: English (fluent both spoken and in writing), German is desirable

  • Soft skills: Reliable and open-minded, Determined to reach a goal in time, ability to work independently and to prioritize, Strong team working skills, Hands-on mentality, Creativity

  • Others: Experience in organizing events up to medium or global scale, Experience in creating information materials, Understanding of business processes or blockchain technology is beneficial
