SAP Ariba is looking for detail-oriented, flexible and creative enablement manager to drive technical training programs that support critical knowledge components for customer support staff. The role will focus on assessing the changing business needs of specific technical groups, developing training programs that provide access to essential knowledge necessary to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of the customer. Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, communicate clearly and manage multiple projects is essential.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

  • Partner with line managers and senior leadership to identify and develop strategies for meeting customer support employee learning-program goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess technical training needs, developing key insights into each role, determining knowledge and performance gaps and driving design and implementation of innovative, engaging, inspiring learning experiences focused on increasing technical capabilities.

  • Continuously identify and engage subject-matter experts and potential trainers/consultants for existing and emerging learning and development programs. Coach and partner on content, presentation, and materials as needed.

  • Develop and actively manage a variety of training content to enhance learning (including e-learning, video, virtual and instructor-led modules), peer mentoring, self-service and instructor led curriculum with web-based tools.

  • Proactively assess effectiveness (absorption, retention, translation to behaviors and job tasks) of training delivered, making recommendations for program enhancement based on feedback gained from managers and staff. Leverage online Learning Management System to streamline learning and development efforts to the greatest degree possible. Accurately document employee training, requirements and progress.

Essential Functions:

  • Use expertise to facilitate training sessions in difficult situations by applying concepts of instructional design and adult learning methods.

  • Use instructional methodology and technologies to deliver instruction to different audiences.

  • Instruct on multiple products, procedures, processes, new systems, and/ or system enhancements.

  • Independently manages complex business instruction projects from initial stages of learning gap assessment to final instruction delivery and participant evaluation.

  • Participate in assessing learning needs, design and develop comprehensive curricula, training programs, and instructional. Delivers training either in a classroom setting, virtually or through on-the-job coaching.

  • Research and evaluate detailed training requirements from business stakeholders.

  • Evaluates progress of participants, monitors effectiveness of instructional programs and materials, develops metrics, and prepares reports.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Project management

  • Training needs analysis

  • Specialized knowledge of adult education principles, training methods, and techniques. Specialized knowledge of common issues faced by employees working in teams or departments in customer service.

  • Experience in the employee training and development process and experience with learning management systems.

  • Ability to identify appropriate training resources and to solve problems associated with troubleshooting technical systems.

  • Knowledge of instructional design tools, including Adobe Captivate, PowerPoint, Camtasia, etc. In-depth, hands-on knowledge of enterprise and desktop applications, including MS Office, Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, Skype and Slack.

  • Must possess a high level of presentation skills and written communication skills.

  • Must possess a high aptitude for self-development, technical preparedness, self-confidence, and ability to deal with complexity.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on motivational skills and positive attitude.

  • Ability to build relationships across the organization.

  • Ability to convey information to various levels of leadership.

  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross functionally.

  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.

  • Travel less than 10%

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience organizational training and development with increasing responsibility and experience. Experience should include utilizing adult learning principles, methodologies, and instructional design techniques to develop, implement and deliver training to end users. Experience should also include providing outstanding customer service, project management and event planning skills.
