What You Will Do
Install and maintain critical systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Suse Linux employing enterprise cluster applications.
Install, configure and maintain system applications including DNS, Sendmail, Bind, SSH, TCP/IP and NFS.
Provide expertise in maintaining enterprise-class storage systems and Netapp filers.
Carefully follow and employ change control procedures leveraging industry standard change management tooling.
Develop and maintain Perl and Shell scripts to enhance deployment and monitoring framework.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for multiple environments.
Provide recommendations on system and process changes as needed.
Provide support for 24x7 customer-facing systems and participates in an on-call rotation.
What You Need
5 years professional experience administering one or more enterprise-level Linux operating environment.
5 years professional experience administering network utilities such as Sendmail, Bind, or SSH.
Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef, CFengine).
Strong working knowledge of enterprise mass storage systems in a SAAS environment.
Exemplary scripting abilities (Perl, Bash, etc.)
Knowledge of Storage array networks and how to provision vluns to hosts.
Understanding of Veritas VXFS, VXVM and Cluster.
Understanding of NFS and NetApp hardware.
Creating volumes, assigning to servers and remote replication.
