Location: Palo Alto, CA
Purpose and Objective: SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Product Specialist for our Palo Alto, CA office location to provide technical Product Management for SAP Data Hub platform and Agile Data Preparation in the areas of machine learning, data wrangling, data landscape design and management.
Expectations and Tasks: This person will assist with the business strategy and the resulting technology decisions for product requirements, rollout and adoption including support for Go-To-Market, Marketing and Analyst Relations deliverables. This is a challenging position that requires a passion about continuously delivering highly innovative data management platform products and solutions to the market. Work within globally distributed Product Management and Development team and run high profile global cross stakeholder projects; a self-starter capable of understanding what needs to be done and making it happen. Deep background in software development and development processes, databases, data integration and data quality, data preparation, business intelligence and data management solutions and a deep understanding of algorithmic data discovery, profiling, transformation, data semantics and data matching. 30% travel required.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field of study and 6 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 4 years of experience. The company will also accept pre-Bachelor's degree experience.
Work Experience: Experience must involve 4 years in the following: Analytics Software Development; Product Management; Databases and Data Preparation experience; Agile/Lean/Scrum Development Processes; Machine Learning applied to Analytics; Databases, Data Integration, and Data Preparation experience; Inbound Activities: Growth opportunities identification, Competitive Analysis, User stories creation, Backlog Preparation and Prioritization, business case management, translation of business requirements into technical product requirements; Outbound Activities: Beta and Launch planning and management, global field enablement, Education content preparation, trial delivery, demo building, Conference Presentations; Experience with Analysts, Influencer and Press program and interaction management; GTM and Marketing: Business Cases, Solution Briefs, L1/L2 Decks, Commercialization. Experience must also involve 2 years in Machine Learning / Data Science product and algorithms. 30% travel required.
