Location: Palo Alto, CA
Purpose and Objective: SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Developer at our Palo Alto, CA location responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.
Expectations and Tasks: Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues. Show initiative and drive topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency. Work closely together with others and share expertise to ensure product success. Constantly improve own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team. Has advanced overall product and technical knowledge and share expertise within and across team and organization. Has advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards. If acting as Scrum Master in the LEAN context, please consider the Scrum Masters Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring that Scrum is understood and put into practice properly. Scrum Master is a servant-leader for the Product Owner and the Development Team. Facilitate Scrum Events on request or as required. Coach the Development Team in self-organization. Remove impediments to the Development Team's progress. 10% travel required.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field of study and 6 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 4 years of experience.
Work Experience: Experience must involve four years in ABAP, ABAP OO Development including but not limited to BADI, BAPI, Data Dictionary, Customization, Enhancement Framework, Performance Tuning; technical and domain experience in SAP Mobility products like SAP Mobile Platform, SAP Fiori, SAP Net Weaver Gateway and Data Orchestration Engine; working with SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer; development building Data Objects, Backend Adapters, Distribution Models, Custom Services, Custom Channels & DOE Connector for Sybase mobility Integration on NetWeaver Data Orchestration Engine; ABAP unit testing and automation frameworks; building end to end Fiori applications using Net Weaver Gateway and SAP UI5; OData, REST & SOAP technologies; SCRUM / AGILE methodologies in a product team; scrum master in agile environment; building enterprise online/offline mobile applications using SAP Mobile Platform SDK. 10% travel required.
