Location: Palo Alto, CA
Purpose and Objective: SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Product Expert for our Palo Alto, CA office location to be accountable for the definition, delivery, quality, cost management, and success of a IoT solutions.
Expectations and Tasks: Ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and the improvement of processes. Responsible for driving product adoption across releases. Accountable for customers, and ensure that any key escalations in the products are clarified to the customer's satisfaction. Represent the product at major customer and SAP events. Ensure that the product roadmap is clearly conveyed, and results in revenue and adoption. Lead overall key activities with regards to the product development. Lead overall key activities with Go to market teams. Support the sales team, and direct them. Represent the organization and its senior management in key meetings and engagements. Meet with customer and partner executives, and ensure internal alignment with other key executive and teams. Build strong interaction across organizational boundaries. Analyze technology trends and customer requirements to translate to market. Ensure customer business process needs into competitive products. Develop product vision and product roadmap targeting customer adoption and stakeholder usage. Prepare and recommend to make/buy decisions and/or partner engagements. Stay on top of competitive landscape for the product and ensure that the SAP product is in sync with market expectations. Drive, and ensure the prioritization of all product backlogs of the portfolio. Drive holistic product vision and product design. Ensure that all the product teams have a comprehensive understanding of it. Conduct periodic reviews of the development process, and suggest and drive improvements. Accountable for delivery of high quality solution and a related rollout strategy. Accountable for coordinating, and collecting end-to-end feedback from customers and other relevant stakeholders. Identify opportunities, and drive innovation in respective topics and domains of the functional role. Actively follow, share developments and trends regarding new SAP and complimentary partner service and solution offerings, industry trends and other topic areas relevant for the respective domain. Manage product priorities from definition, delivery and go-to-market for IoT and SAP Cloud solutions. Work as a product owner in activities like designing and execution. Monitoring GTM activities, and targeted GTM materials and campaigns. Prioritize, synthesize requirements, and support implementation of POCs and fully productized IoT solutions and SAP Cloud Solutions. Launch new innovative software solutions to market. Manage projects that involve multiple stakeholders from different board areas and in multiple time-zones. Support business development activities, and communicate with different cultures and people at several organizational levels including C-Level executives. Responsible for product success and adoption. Act as a thought leader and evangelist for SAP Leonardo IoT and Technology at internal and external events, customers partners.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering and 7 years of experience required. Will also accept a Master's degree and 5 years of experience.
Work Experience: Experience must include at least 5 years in the following: Ability to capture and productize customer and partner around SAP solutions. Product definition and product development including successful market adoption. Defining, building and owning software solutions. Launching to market new innovative software solutions. Strong ability to represent SAP in various customer and partner interactions. Overseeing projects that involve multiple stakeholders from different board areas and in multiple time-zones. Support business development activities and communication with different cultures and people at several organizational levels. Experience must involve following technologies: SAP NetWeaver platform, SAP Webdynpro Java development, SAP Mobile Solutions, SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, SAP ERP systems and Lob applications, SAP HANA In memory database, modeling, configuration, development, SAP S/4HANA Technology and Cross topics, Core Data Services, Smart Business applications, SAP Internet of Things, Cloud applications, Enterprise Integration API's and Webservices Platform as a Service - SAP Cloud platform (HCP).
