Purpose and Objective: Ariba, Inc. seeks a Business Processes Senior Consultant for our Palo Alto, CA office location (and various client sites nationwide) for application and process specific solution consulting (for a specific application: creation of business blueprint, implementation based on a blue print, creation of test cases, test scheduling and execution, key user training, go live support, and post go live support).

Expectations and Tasks: Support escalated projects. Perform feasibility studies and solution reviews. Support pre-sales activities. Take over responsibility from time to time as a sub project team leader. Take responsibility from time to time as team lead and support respective line manager(s) in people development tasks. Detailed planning of process implementation. Define detailed blueprint for development requirements. Industry and corporate process implementation across all related applications (SAP/non-SAP, OnPremise and cloud-based). Develop and assure quality of process models. Demonstrate profound knowledge of modeling standards and tools. 80% travel required to various client sites nationwide.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field and 6 years of experience; or alternatively, a Master's degree and 4 years of experience.

Work Experience: Experience must include 4 years of experience involving the following: deployment of Ariba procurement solutions such as Procure to Pay (P2P), Invoice Pro, Catalogs and Document Automation to customers; deployment of Ariba strategic sourcing solutions like Sourcing, Contracts, and Supplier Lifecycle and Performance Management; host requirements/design workshops to educate and train customers on Ariba solution functionality and configurability and help customers understand their business requirements in the context of the Ariba solution; propose solution configurations and customizations to handle customer requirements, configuration of the Ariba On Demand application and Ariba Network; perform master data loads, transactional data integrations, formats, templates, mappings and approval workflows; integration of Ariba solutions with other ERPs including SAP through Web services, Integration Tool Kit (ITK), Direct Connectivity or mediated through SAP NetWeaver PI system; review customers' use cases and test scripts, monitor testing progress and resolve Ariba-related issues though service requests (SR) and enhancement requests (ER); plan and execute production cutover, open PO conversions, go live and production support; serving as a liaison between customer, system integrator and Ariba internal teams such as Product and Technical Support, Sales, Field Technology, Product Management, and Training; managing projects for timeline, scope, resources and quality deliverables and provide weekly status reports to program steering committee members. 80% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
