Purpose and Objective: SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Support Engineer at our Newtown Square, PA location (& various client sites nationwide) to serve within our Global CoE organization. As the Global CoE organization, it is our task and responsibility to understand and proceed on the new business models and operational challenges of our MaxAttention, Active Embedded, and Enterprise Support customers.

Expectations and Tasks: Under the umbrella of MaxAttention Next Generation we provide the necessary methodology and content to drive the innovation agenda with continual redefining of requirements and industry business models. Besides delivering innovations we engage pro-actively with our Premium Engagement and Enterprise Support customers using a holistic approach to analyze, understand and define action plans for customer's situation. We support our customers in increasing the value they get out of their SAP Solution with reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Beside these, we resolve production down situations and escalations. By doing so we ensure customer satisfaction and success, secure maintenance revenue and protect the SAP brand. To deliver all that in an efficient way industrialization is a must. We build supportability features, standardize and automate delivery of content and invent new delivery models. Foundation is our extraordinary technical and application knowledge. We bring together engineering talents into a single, global delivery organization, the Global CoE - dedicated to the values and aspirations which unite us in order to deliver the desired outcome, whatever it takes. Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, Information Systems or a related field and 5 years of experience; or alternatively, a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.

Work Experience: Experience must involve one of the following programming environments: ABAP, Java/JavaScript, Shell programming for Unix and Windows, C . Experience must also involve SAP Basis: ABAP Basis Administration, SAP system installations and software updates, SAP role and user maintenance; SAP Solution Manager functionalities: SAP Solution Manager Business Process Operations (BPO), SAP Solution Manager Application Operations (AO), and its APIs, as well as development and delivery in these areas; SAP Solution Manager Basic Configuration and Agent Framework; System Landscape Directory design and maintenance; technically analyzing/optimizing a new application/software product and its underlying technical architecture (i.e. SAP architecture), supporting business processes and functional portfolio, and inherent mission criticality and business functionality; performing research in order to service and support an SAP solution and improve it functionally and technically and to deliver engineering services for it; project planning, execution, and management. 50% travel required.
