PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Government & Industry Secrecy Office is part of the Product & Innovation SAP Board Area and internal supervising body for national government secrecy compliance, as well as key business enabler in sensitive industries for SAP. The Government & Industry Secrecy Office is looking for a “Regional Government Secrecy Officer” responsible for all its activities in SAP North America (NA) Region.
EXPECTATIONS AND OBJECTIVES
Act as trusted advisor to ensure secrecy liability fulfilment in strategic sensitive markets for your region and support as business enabler SAP`s revenue in sensitive industries (Public Sector, Defense & Security, Aerospace, Healthcare, Utilities)
Ensure strict fulfillment of official state requirements through discussions with involved government authorities and negotiations with customers e.g. support with specific processes according to international agreements (multi- and bi-lateral)
Raise awareness and educate senior and local management in your region for handling of information that is protectively marked by state authorities
Build and maintain strong network in respective markets, establish effective internal operating procedures to cover national regulations and manage adequate reporting on senior management level of all relevant key performance indicators in your region
Promote best-practices from Government & Industry Secrecy Office and adapt to regional needs wherever required for SAP to fulfil its regulatory liabilities
Enable sales to generate revenue opportunities through ongoing consulting e.g. leverage industry experience as well as strategic thinking capabilities to provide insights and create impact in sensitive industries
Establish trustful liaison with national and international governmental bodies
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor (or equivalent) minimum required
Fluent English language skills are mandatory
Excellent organizational planning and program/project management skills
Excellent communication & presentation skills on all management levels in an international, multicultural setting
Advanced experience and proven track record in sensitive industries like public sector, defense & security and aerospace are a must
Large network across SAP’s internal stakeholders serving sensitive industries (e.g. Pre-Sales, Sales, Industries, Legal)
Strong customer orientation and Innovative thinking
Willingness to travel
10 years of working experience
Proven track record of handling information which is protectively marked by any state authorities in NA region
Proven track record of managing & executing programs on a global level in matrix organizations or public services organizations
Proven track record in strategic customer engagements in sensitive markets
Broad experience in dealing and negotiating with governmental supervising bodies as well as official security organization
