EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As an IT Product Architect, you are responsible to:

  • Establish a trusted partnership with our business counterparts and act as “ONE TEAM” from strategy to execution

  • Be a part of an agile scrum team, assume responsibility for tasks and complete them end-to-end with the best quality and user experience

  • Design and deliver first class and simple IT solutions and ensure successful delivery by providing sustainable standard IT solutions and system architecture

  • Operate IT Solutions and Services assisted by an operations teams that provide support through incident management, major incident de-escalation, service request delivery, system monitoring, etc.

  • Drive continuous improvement of IT Solution and Service quality with focus on stability, usability, maintainability and ultimately customer satisfaction.

  • Automate when and where possible with the help of data science methods and technology.

  • Develop skill and competency on latest business models, solutions and technologies relevant to your area of responsibility.

  • Drive innovation and early adoption of new technologies and solutions in close cooperation with other teams within IT

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

  • Academic degree in Finance / Engineering / Information Technology

  • Proficiency in architecture and developing Enterprise applications in SAP ERP or S/4HANA order to cash and finance applications

  • Alternatively experience in architecting and developing Enterprise applications in Java as well as Spring

  • Proficiency in development and consumption of REST APIs

  • Experience in developing Cloud Foundry applications, preferably with SAP Cloud Platform Cloud Foundry

  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML5, PHP, Node.js and Ruby

  • Solid understanding of FI Processes and hands-on config. experiences in SAP ERP and S/4 HANA; Knowledge of FI-CA is a plus

  • Proficiency in architecture and developing Enterprise applications in Object Oriented ABAP

  • Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration & delivery

  • Strong analytical and logical skills

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills

  • Very good English language skills

  • Ability to work in an international, virtual team and act as “team player”

Preferred skills

  • Certification in process (e.g. ITIL), architectural standards (e.g. TOGAF) as well as technical skills is an advantage

  • Knowledge of Vertex O Series - an external tax engine for US & Canada

  • Knowledge of Withholding Tax, VAT and US Sales & Use-Tax

  • Certification in process (e.g. ITIL), architectural standards (e.g. TOGAF) is an advantage

  • Experience in agile project delivery (Scrum, Kanban etc.) connected with End-User Centricity

  • Disciplined and structured learning habits and not afraid to experiment when time permits

  • Proficiency in German/Spanish is an advantage

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • A successful candidate has at least:

  • 2 to 5 years of professional work experience in the adoption of SAP S/4 HANA Finance including GL, AP, AR with a good overview of Taxes on Sales/Purchases and Withholding Tax

  • 0-3 years of professional work experience in the implementation of Object Oriented solutions

  • Exposure to Cloud Foundry applications is a real advantage
