Purpose & Objective of Position
This intern position will support the Global PreSales Solution Hubs team within the Global PreSales organization. This position will be responsible to deliver a wide variety of assignments and projects, including with JAM design and inquiries, content and enablement.
This position will report to the Manager of the PreSales Solution Hubs.
This position will allow the intern to gain general understanding of SAP, the SAP PreSales organization and its purpose, as well as providing the intern with an opportunity to gain experience working in a market-leading multinational organization and further develop a personal network.
Expectations & Tasks
Become an integral member of the PreSales Solution Hubs team by delivering, research and all other supporting tasks as outlined below. All assigned work is to be delivered on time and at or above quality expectations.
Serve as a primary team member in all phases of assigned projects and work.
Assist with the development and redesign of Solution Hub Jam groups as needed.
Research and deliver reporting statistics including Solution Hub Jam group activity, communication consumption, and ad-hoc audit requests, etc.
Execute projects as assigned: Solution Hub Yearly Assessments, Quarterly Regional comparisons, quarterly reporting, audits, unique research, or design & build projects, etc. This work may include conducting telephone interviews and preparing project deliverables.
Handle logistics for meetings and workshops as assigned: prepare invitations, reserve meeting rooms, set-up virtual meeting rooms and telephony, record virtual sessions, etc.
Attend workshops and meetings as requested, take and formalize notes / presentations for distribution to manager and project teams.
Organize and formalize information for weekly activity updates to management.
Document the use of current and new systems and processes. Assist in the development of end user training and reference documentation.
Track metrics as assigned and prepare reports.
Skills / Competencies
Excellent attention to detail to ensure high degree of quality assurance
Proven self-starter; self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision
Ability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Business and technical aptitude; ability to learn new concepts and tools quickly
Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage and execute multiple tasks / projects simultaneously
Strong communications skills, oral and written and solid interpersonal skills (i.e. comfortable with speaking to colleagues and managers)
Ability to interact with internal teams, organizations, project teams / stakeholders external to PreSales
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Desk top tools: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Familiarity of social business practices and tools: Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
Knowledge of HTML and the use of an HTML editor (i.e. Microsoft FrontPage) is a plus
Previous project management work also a plus
BS or Master’s degree in Communications, English or related area of study
Requires candidates to currently be enrolled in an undergraduate, Masters, MBA or PhD degree program, which is applicable to the position
