PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Finance Run Better Together Program (FRBT) was implemented to support the continuing efforts to meet the strategic business goals. One of the projects within FRBT is Improved DSO (Days Sales Outstanding). The purpose of this project is to improve our DSO by streamlining our cash collection processes to optimize our results. To that end, a global organization for cash collections has been created to leverage the best practices that the project has identified. This organization combines the existing resources supporting cash collections and accompanying activities such as dispute management today serving in both local Field Finance and Shared Services organizations with a focus on proactive collection activities.

For the Global Cash Collections Organization we are looking for a Regional Director responsible for the cash collections teams covering North America. The team is responsible for all cash collections related topics, maintains contact for all external customers, as well as for sales, support, consulting and training. A close collaboration with other Finance, Controlling and Commercial areas is a prerequisite for success.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Management of a virtual team within a global organization

  • Oversee the collections function for North America and ensure targets are met within the assigned area

  • Responsible for monthly close activities regarding reserves (sales allowances, bad debts, etc.).

  • Interact with all levels of senior management ensuring appropriate degree of awareness with regards to potential risks to SAP

  • Drive the development, retention, and experience of the team

  • Provide mgmt. with regular updates on performance, development and achievement of KPI’s

  • Drive key projects that improve both the North America region performance but also are a key part of the global cash collections team projects.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred

  • Thorough knowledge of SAP FI, SD, FSCM and other collection tools

  • Very good MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Excellent English skills, Spanish a bonus

  • Strategic Thinking

  • Project Management

  • Experience in managing & measuring process improvement

  • Analytical thinking

  • Broad interest in GFA topics

  • Reliability and quality-oriented work

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 5 to 7 years management experience in Finance/Accounts Receivable preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years in cash collections

  • Experience in managing teams or projects
