PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

Our product, SAP Hybris Commerce , is a complete enterprise toolkit that is used to create “omni-commerce” web-based applications enabling companies to sell goods, services and digital content through every customer touchpoint including computers, mobile devices, stores, call centers and social media.

Our Hybris as a Service (YaaS) offering is a platform for creating massively scalable cloud business solutions.

Our SAP Hybris software teams in Montreal which develop both of these products are seeking talented student software developers for paid internships or work terms of 4 to 8 months. EXPECTATION AND TASKS

You will join one of our Agile Scrum teams. You will learn how we develop software in an agile fashion, to design, build, test, and release new features and services for SAP Hybris Commerce or YaaS. You will learn our Java stack and test and development frameworks and use Scrum and XP to focus on creating high-quality code (unit test, integration test, continuous integration) and develop Java-based services and applications using Java EE, Spring Framework, Web Services, Javascript and possibly AngularJS.

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in Java and an interest in open-source technologies

  • Knowledge of or experience in front end Javascript / TypeScript development

  • Knowledge or experience with AngularJS would be a plus

  • Excellent command of the English language as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of design patterns

  • Knowledge or experience with J2EE or the Spring framework or RESTful web services would be a plus.

  • Knowledge or experience with test development frameworks would be a plus

  • Understanding of transactional and multi-threaded processes would be a plus

  • Previous software development work experience would be a plus

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (degrees, class completion, etc.)

  • Completed second year of Bachelor degree or higher

  • Studies concentrated in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
