PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Services Sales Head works closely with the SAP license organization, SAP delivery

organization, customers and partners to ensure the overall success of the sale and

implementation of SAP services solutions and business processes and is expected to be a

significant contributor to the overall success of the customer relationship.

The Services Sales Head is accountable for team deployment and execution consistent with the Virtual Account Team Mapping, and is expected to play a significant role in the execution of the Customer Relationship.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Manages a team that is representative of SAP Africa’s customer base. Help set sales strategy; prioritize and leverage resources to meet SAP objectives. Guide, mentor, teach the services sales team to navigate the organization and to help them to be successful and eliminate roadblocks. Lead the services sales team in the following activities:

Develop account strategies for key accounts in a complex business environment, negotiate

services contracts and close business. Assist the team in preparation for execution of account strategies through sales calls, bringing account escalations to successful resolution for SAP & Customer; general objective/development management and account closing.

Lead the team to position SAP's services, products and solutions, implementation framework

and methodologies to prospective customers and organize appropriate resources to the

account to achieve services sales/upgrade/additional revenue. Prioritize customers for the team to effectively evaluate opportunities. Develop staff, improve staff skills, manage employee reporting responsibilities; appropriately forecast revenue & bookings.

Evaluate the team against their observable duties as outlined. Present feedback to support or improve performance.Integrate with core consulting organization as member of extended leadership team.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Extensive leadership experience.

Diplomacy and executive presence to handle large deals.

Well established network to manage stakeholders at the global, regional, and local level

internally and externally.

Broad knowledge of SAP products, services, methodology and tools.

Thought leadership, creativity and innovative thinking.

Solid understanding of the SAP portfolio.

Results oriented leadership style.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 10 years experience.

A successful track record in services sales.

5 years experience in managing software services sales teams.
