Our DevOps Team is the head of SAP Converged Cloud – the unified global Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform for all SAP products based on Kubernetes and OpenStack. We develop and run different types of software services in 18 regions around the globe – from classical compute, over object storage to Kubernetes as services.

We are looking for motivated, self-going individuals with background in computer science, programming, data science or networking to join our teams in Berlin, Dresden, Walldorf or from remote in Europe.

  • Design, develop and deploy API driven infrastructure services powered by Kubernetes and OpenStack. Main investment areas are: Networking, GPU compute, big data processing and “serverless”.

  • Develop and maintain Continuous Delivery, monitoring and deployment tooling together with other teams.

  • Contribute to different well-known upstream open source projects and help maintain our own open source initiatives.

  • Love your solutions and co-innovate with our consumers and open source users embedded in a small distributed team of co-workers.

  • Take responsibility for your applications from development to production, including participation in development, operations and incident response.


  • Degree in applied sciences.

  • Preferred fields of study: Computer Science or related fields with programming experience.

  • Preferred programming languages: Python, Go.

  • Technical skills:

  • Container technologies like Kubernetes, Linux system administration, experience with public clouds or preferred OpenStack. Experience with Continuous Integration.

  • Experience with operations/architectures of enterprise compute hosts/hypervisors or networking gear.

  • Language skills: Fluent in English (spoken and written).

  • Soft skills: Excellent abstract problem-solving skills, high level of commitment and reliability, good communication skills, fun working in a multinational team, understanding of dynamics of communication in open source projects.


Programming experience in Python or Go close to devices/infrastructure.

The position can be filled as part time position.
