ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a part of the SAP Customer Success and Advocacy global shared services organization, the Bid Support Associate role is focused on providing support to the internal bid management organization by offering a professional, high-quality bid support service to bid managers. Engaged by and working in conjunction with a Bid Manager, the Bid Support Associate is responsible for supporting the proposal development process, including working on proposals and other customer-facing deliverables as well as related tasks. The Bid Support Associate is also responsible for the consistent application of appropriate templates, copy, and layout to create customer-specific documents in an accurate, professional, and timely manner.

The Bid Support Associate’s contribution can take the form of collating, proofreading, or formatting customer-specific content, as well as the production of completed customer-facing deliverables. The Bid Support Associate takes initiative to realize the objectives of the job within the framework established and agreed upon with the Bid Manager.

Delivery of Bid Support Associate support and services should occur in standard, scalable, and sometimes automated ways, developing a direct relationship with core customers (in the field or sometimes external).

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The Bid Support Associate supports the bid management by performing the following key activities:

  • Correct application of SAP’s brand, policies, and compliance with One-Voice requirements

  • First pass of proofreading and editing for grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and typing errors

  • Creation of templates, messaging, and layouts compliant with request requirements for customer proposals, presentations, and other documents.

  • Respond to generic information (i.e., SAP vision and strategy, company information, financials, maintenance support, etc.).

  • Application of desktop publishing with SAP approved styles, formatting, and branding.

  • Updating workload tracking records and archiving of final deliverables.

  • Application of suitable templates, messaging, and layouts in compliance with RFx requirements for customer proposals, presentations

  • Creation of standard and non-standard documentation including enclosures, appendices, etc.,

  • Search knowledge repositories for boilerplate content responses.

  • Harvest appropriate re-usable content for contribution to the content management database.

WORK EXPERENCE

  • Newly graduate with Internship experience

  • Experience in sales-related processes is an advantage (must not exceed 2 years of experience)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Recent graduate of a University degree (Bachelors) or relevant tertiary certification

  • Excellent organizational and management skills

  • Fluent in English (Level 3) and able to fluently understand and communicate verbally and in writing)

  • Excellent writing and editing skills

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint
