Our Finance team shares your passion for digging into the data, identifying revenue trends and thinking about how to present this information to our key stakeholders. Our ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of general accounting principles, IFRS 15/ASC 606 and be interested to learn more complex areas of the business. Requires significant accuracy and attention to detail as well as creative problem-solving abilities. This role reports to the Director, Financial Analysis & Revenue Accounting and will have frequent interaction with the leadership of the Controlling organization, the CFO, and the Financial Planning & Analysis team. Specific Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and Reporting: Analyze trends and variances to provide commentary on drivers. Research, investigate, and communicate trend variances and budget-to-actual differences. Will have a lead role in presenting monthly and quarterly financial information to executive leadership including the CFO.

  • Month-end: Function as lead for month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and analytics to support results.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve broad, cross-functional business processes, and related systems. Assist implementation efforts as required.

  • Audit Support: Work closely with internal audit to ensure periodic testing is targeted in the right areas.

  • Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Accounting or related discipline.

  • 5 years total accounting, finance, or related experience.

  • Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills. Able to discern alternatives and make objective recommendations, understand how to effectively work with other business groups to accomplish goals.

  • Self-motivated individual who is able to work well under pressure

  • Experience with Tier 1 ERP (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Peoplesoft, etc.) preferred, but not required.

  • Strong presentation skills (oral, written, and numerical) to interact with upper levels of management.

  • Project management ability. Able to act as primary owner of individual projects, analyses or processes. Ability to work cross-functionally outside immediate work group. Natural curiosity regarding how to make improvements.

  • Ability to remain flexible in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to pass a background check.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Preferred work experience in software or related industry.

  • Strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), including experience in accounting research.

  • Experience participating in a monthly accounting system close process.

  • Ability to have fun in a team environment.

  • Willing to work extended hours during peak periods.
