The Senior Platform Alliance Manager will play a fundamental role in the success of the Concur platform strategy. As a Senior Platform Alliance Manager, you will be responsible for developing high-trust relationships with our partners, ensuring strategic alignment across internal Concur teams and those partners, and managing the day to day activities that fuel success.
Concur’s platform division drives innovation and growth by connecting Concur services with Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s) to create the travel and expense ecosystem. The Concur App Center is a collection of solutions, for both personal use and company use that extend and enrich the value of our customer’s investments in Concur.
Success is measured through revenue and unit growth, pipeline activity and relationship health among our current or growing partnerships. This is a strategic role working with our key partners, Concur’s internal teams and has central importance to our ongoing success as a company.
The successful candidate will be results driven with an innate ability to quickly interpret new business models, learn new products and translate the activity into key learnings and trends that can be used to make changes to our approach and strategy.
Reports to Sr. Director Alliances & Sales
As our Sr. Platform Alliance Manager, you will be responsible for:
Establish and manage the strategic partner plans that cover: marketing, sales interaction, training and executive bridging.
Create partnership objectives and goal setting with Concur internal and external partnership owners.
Develop and effectively manage partnership and internal relationships necessary to reach mutually beneficial objectives and the cross-functional commitments to achieve them.
Maintain up-to-date market information and news as well as news on partner companies and competitors.
Solve complex problems in creative and effective ways.
Represent Concur in industry associations and events
Efficiently coordinate the creation and dissemination of forecasting and reporting data to the leadership and executive team
Work closely with Platform Channel Sales Team on managing pipeline health and driving partner initiatives into the Concur field organization
Work closely with Platform Marketing to create relevant content and programs that drive value to Concur and the partner
Work closely with Platform Product Marketing to broaden the product scope of existing partner relationships
What We’re Looking For:
The successful candidate will have a proven track record demonstrating:
6 years of Senior Alliance management and or business development
Proven success in building consensus and driving desired behavior within a large, complex program, including managing virtual cross-functional teams.
The flexibility to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
The tenacity to get things done despite perceived roadblocks
The tech savvy to understand Concur and partner offerings quickly
The charisma to build support across segments and geo’s
The creativity to identify trends and adapt messaging to support them
Education, Experience & Training required:
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA Preferred
6 years of Senior Alliance management

Resourceful – leveraging all resources both internal and externally to drive business performance
Job involves up to 20% travel
