The Senior Executive Communications Manager is responsible for driving all facets of executive communications for a C-level executive, including speech writing, blog posts, and development of content for internal and external presentations. In this role, you will research topics, prepare talking points, and draft speeches and PowerPoint presentations, which could include rich media such as customer testimonials and product demos or overviews. You will work directly with the executive to incorporate their feedback and ensure their communications are authentic and connected to core corporate messaging. In partnership with corporate communications teams, you will investigate and pursue executive speaking opportunities that support SAP Concur and thought leadership goals, provide counsel and recommendations for speaking requests, and secure speaking opportunities at venues where SAP Concur should have an executive presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop communications strategy and plan for C-level executive.

  • Develop and execute against an internal communications rhythm to help employees feel connected to executive leadership, SAP, and SAP Concur.

  • Write speeches and create engaging, high quality presentations and messaging for external and internal audiences.

  • Write bylines and blogs posts.

  • Assist with strategy and execution for C-level executive’s online presence including blogs and social media.

  • Identify executive engagement opportunities.

  • Plan and prepare content for quarterly company meetings and other internal all hands meetings.

  • Write, review and edit communications content on topics such as organizational announcements, employee recognition, strategic business updates, and industry trends.

  • Effectively research and write content targeted at industry, regional, national and international audiences.

  • Measure results associated with internal and external communications to continuously improve and drive high audience engagement.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience & Training required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Communications, Business or related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of communication experience in either Executive Communications, Internal Communications, Employee Communications or Corporate Communications.

  • Previous work experience in a fast paced, high growth environment.

  • Ability to communicate business strategy and have demonstrated experience developing executive-level messaging.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

  • The ideal candidate is familiar with the travel and expense management space.

  • Experience with technology and other methods used in communication.

  • Impeccable writing, editing and proofreading capabilities.

  • Strong executive presence.

  • A planner with a nimble and proactive approach.

  • Exceptional listener with the ability to integrate feedback well.

  • Experienced individual contributor with the knowledge of how to navigate the schedule and requirements of the C-suite office.

  • Strong collaborator and partner with internal teams that support this role.

  • Strong research capabilities and stays current with industry trends.

  • Flexible and able to manage multiple priorities and inputs.

  • Operates in a confidential manner.

  • Ability to pass a background check.
