POSITION OVERVIEW

SAP Concur is looking for an experienced Marketing Technology Director to lead the strategy, planning, and management of an integrated marketing technology stack for the enterprise. He or she will set the vision for how the organization can best leverage digital tools to drive revenue growth, customer retention and engagement.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about technology, process improvement and change management. The MarTech Director will champion our technology initiatives by aligning various system roadmaps with the broader Marketing vision while working closely with our extended Operations and IT organizations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sets a vision for marketing technology evolution for the global enterprise including building out the strategic roadmaps for the systems.

  • Develops standardized processes, policies and governance for a global marketing organization to evaluate and adopt new tools. Ensures proper representation and buy-in across Marketing, Sales, IT and Operations stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Works collaboratively to ensure all customer facing digital tools are aligned with strategy and adheres to IT and compliance policies.

  • Implements marketing technologies from scratch, inherit and improve technologies, or rip and replace existing technologies and integrate with enterprise applications

  • Proactively communicates with internal stakeholders throughout a project's lifecycle to help ensure adoption and conduct system trainings as needed

  • Builds and scales training on best practices for martech tools to ensure users understand the purpose of each system, and when and how to use them effectively

  • Presents technical details to a non-technical audience and present strategic vision and roadmap to executive level stakeholders

  • Successfully manages large-scale vendor relationships, working collaboratively with IT, and Operations to support marketing technology implementations.

  • Provides thought leadership around Marketing Technology landscape and innovative omni-channel capabilities.

  • Leads evaluations and vendor selection, including translating business requirements into technical specifications.

Qualifications:

BA/BS degree required

10 years of relevant B2B work experience in marketing or marketing operations

5 years marketing technology, and CRM experience (Marketo and Saleforce.com experience strongly preferred).

Experience leading and empowering teams of direct reports and distributed stakeholders

Experience thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth, global environment

Balance of Marketing and Technology functional skills. Able to understand the Marketing vision and capability needs and translate business needs into technology requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with senior marketing leaders and C-level executives

Passionate knowledge of marketing concepts, methods, and techniques

Expert attention to detail, objective problem-solving attitude, and a hunger to learn

Professional attitude and service orientation; team player

Experience working with global business owners, and define multi-country technical requirements

Has demonstrable marketing acumen, and understands their application to systems

Solid attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines

Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously amid ambiguity
