The Commercial Sales organization, at the forefront of the digital transformation, both within SAP and for our customers, provides proactive and programmatic coverage of the SAP installed base and new accounts to identify up/cross-sell and new opportunities, mainly through partners, in the Small & Mid-Market segment. The primary purpose of the Commercial Sales manager is to lead, drive and develop a team of local Commercial Sales Executives towards the achievement of sales quota and quality targets in line with the business objectives. The Commercial Sales Manager reports to the Commercial Sales Director for France.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS OF JOB
Develop the France Commercial Sales team focusing on selling our innovative solution, mainly through our partner network.
Identify, select and hire the best talents
Break down team strategy into operational targets/territories and ensure an optimized territory coverage and resource allocation
Manage monthly, quarterly & annual team forecasts
Deliver budget with the linearity expected from the EMEA leader.
Plan, execute and monitor demand generation activities in close collaboration with all stakeholders (incl Marketing & Partners) in order to accelerate pipeline build and revenue conversion following Commercial Sales requirements
Ensure a healthy pipeline is in place for assigned territory and solutions
Plan & execute in close collaboration with the Commercial Sales Director, the Market Unit Leaders and the EMEA Solutions Directors
Coordinate all tasks of a team with a focus on Sales Excellence, Sales Performance & Customer/Partner Satisfaction
Provide support to the team on top/complex deals (incl internal or customer/partner escalation management)
Perform people management activities for staff including performance and talent management, recruitment, training, coaching, mentoring and salary management
Leading EMEA Commercial Sales initiatives and projects, such as Digital Selling Motion
Drive change that supports the strategic direction of SAP
7-10 years in Software/Technology Sales, management experience is a plus.
Experience to work in large, multi-cultural environment – building strong connections with colleagues and stakeholders virtually, worldwide.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Well-developed and astute management skills – proven ability to drive over-performance
Direct and virtual team leadership & management with a focus on sales performance
Able to work independently and have strong drive for results
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong team player who learns and adapts quickly
Excellent working relationships/communication skills
Natural charisma with proven influential & negotiation skills.
An impeccable understanding of the technology/software industry and products such as Cloud Business Applications (ERP, Customer Engagement & Commerce, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain), Digital Innovation Platform, Machine Learning, IoT, Analytics
Master degree, preferably in economics,engineering or business administration
Languages: French: native speaker – English: business level
