PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Cloud Product Support Team delivers end-to-end support for customers of SAP Cloud for Customer and SAP Business ByDesign, while at the same time working towards the goal of enabling customers to find answers on their own. As a Support Engineer, you will be responsible to functional & technical troubleshooting of product issues reported by our customers, driving their resolution while engaging at all levels in Support, Operations and Product teams. In addition, you will influence product, process and tool improvements, contribute to proactive customer outreach, and improved knowledge management. You are expected to build your network with stakeholders, team members and colleagues in other functions at SAP.
Engineering degree (any stream) or, Masters in Science (Physics & Mathematics) complemented by equivalent work experience
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
3-4 years of professional or practical work experience in SAP ABAP
Basic knowhow of ABAP & User interface (UI) development.
Knowledge of Fiori UI & mobile apps based on fiori platform.
Good understanding of Business processes in CRM or Logistics
Strong problem resolution skills with good decision making and analytical skills.
A flair for technology, looking “under the hood”.
Familiarity with operating system, networking concepts.
Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to speak and write in fluent English.
Experience in client/server architecture, n-tier architectures with web front-ends and database back-ends, performance/stability/load or automation development, network communications.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Analyze configurations, integrations, application and system log files to determine the cause of issue.
Work closely with peers globally to ensure issue resolution quick and in line with SLAs.
Maintain accountability and positive engagement with customer for an issue until the same is resolved.
Provide quick solution for already known & documented issues.
Logically work through problems to determine their cause and how they can be resolved.
Report errors/bugs to Development.
Provide consulting for customers on procedural issues and queries.
Share knowledge & best practices with the team.
Contribute to Product Support & Technical Knowledge Base (KBAs, SAP Community).
Participate in weekend support coverage as per roster planned globally.
Continually develop expertise on new releases and product as demanded by business environment.
Strong analytical and product skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business problem and translate it into application and operational process steps within the product stack.
Documenting the acquired results of analysis and workflows.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Ability to work with high sense of urgency and proven willingness to commit the additional time and effort on high impact issues.
