Title: SAP Ariba Data Services Analyst – Data Engineer

Department: Business Network Group – Spend Visibility

Reports To: SAP Ariba Data Services Manager

Job Description Overview

As an ADS Analyst, you will be required to maintain and develop innovative and automated solutions to support existing Ariba Spend Visibility. Additionally, you will be active in the delivery of Ariba Data Enrichment offerings with the use of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. You will be involved in the maintenance of the Ariba Custom Taxonomy (ACT) that is used as standard component for conducting manual/automated Commodity enrichment operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative and automated solutions

  • XML(NML) Development (including Multiple Language)

  • Support development of Date curation for AI and ML tools for production use

  • Increased Quality results for the Analyst to review, resulting in Higher Customer Satisfaction

  • Open opportunities for Multi-language support in ADE

  • Baseline testing to include ADE Performance and Classification Quality

  • Work with Engineering to ensure smooth production implementations

  • Participate in Performance testing

  • Transition and support process from Testing to Production

  • ACT Release & Maintenance –

  • Help create / maintain the road map plan for new releases of ACT

  • Consolidate the requirements from Customers/PMs, UNSPSC latest versions and custom codes for new version release

  • Co-ordinate with PMs, Engineering & Operations Managers on different phases of a release

  • Ensure the quality levels of new version before release

  • Serve as a point of contact – to accept custom codes, add to current ACT, release the changes to Production environment

  • Aiding in the creating and enhancing the documents(Work Instructions, User Guide, Process flow and quality checklist) as related to ACT

  • Collect, consolidate and maintain all relevant statistics

  • Participate in the review / mapping of Global and Custom Taxonomies

Basic Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 Years Graduation in Computer/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic stream

  • Ability to work with Big Data

  • Ability to work with structured and unstructured data

  • UNSPSC & Other industrial standard taxonomy Classification (critical requirement)

  • Advanced (advanced preferred) Level of Microsoft Products

  • Good oral and written communication skills

Experience

  • 5 years of professional experience in Data Management or Data Engineering field

  • Experience with manipulating big data

  • Experience in building/enhancing industrial standard/custom taxonomies (critical requirement)

  • Experience in cross mappings between industrial standard or custom taxonomies (critical requirement)

  • Customer management experience

Knowledge

  • Procurement & Invoicing Knowledge

  • Advanced competency with all MS Office products including MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Knowledge of Hana or other relevant databases

  • Commodity Knowledge (specifically MRO, Healthcare, Electronics/Electrical, Chemical)

  • Development skills in PHP, MySQL, PERL and XML. Other coding languages

  • Six Sigma/Lean knowledge (Preferred)

  • Ariba Product Knowledge (specifically Ariba Spend Visibility, Ariba Analysis, Ariba Network & Ariba Buyer) – (Preferred)

  • Secondary languages (preferred)
