CLOUD COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT (CCM) TECHNICAL WRITER:

This candidate will work with key stakeholders to produce the best information for our customers thus improving their overall experience and satisfaction with our services.

The Technical Writer will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and publication of leadership as well as customer-facing operations documentation and communications utilizing standardized organizational formats.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Revises or writes standard material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, installation, operation, and maintenance of our services

• Identifies new and incremental documentation and communication needs

• Collaborates with technical staff to organize and write supporting documents for support services

• Selects appropriate channels for information and messaging

• Standardizes communication content and style across all regions

• Revises documents as modifications are identified

• Researches and builds knowledge base documentation for products, services, or technology

• Maintains a comprehensive Operations Digital Process Library and Publications ensuring timely review and priority for effectively communicating policy and guidance updates

• Creates, Maintains, and tracks requirements for new or enhance operations process documents and communications publication development

• Determines the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for the reader’s best comprehension to write and edit documentation

• Meets with subject matter experts to ensure that specialized topics are appropriately addressed and discussed

• Collaborates with translators as necessary to convert writing into a variety of languages

• Works with internal stakeholders to secure approval of finished documentation and communication

• Revises, edits, or updates instructions, process documents, communication, and frequently asked questions including maintaining continuity of style of content

• Creates, adapts, and follows project schedules and deadlines to ensure specialized support is provided

• Specializes in technology services technical writing for one or more SDO organization

• Plans, develops, organizes, writes and edits operational procedures and manuals

• Maintain a comprehensive library of operational procedures documentation

• Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years of relevant experience, such as technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing including experience with writing technical customer-facing materials

• Experience working with support Engineers and Customer Success Managers to help drive customer engagement and adoption, including contributing to knowledge base articles, developing migration guides and FAQs

• Experience with managing an overall documentation framework, including a style guide and template layouts that can be leveraged by colleagues.

• Work with Release and DevOps Engineers to ensure the timely release of new versions of the service and corresponding documentation

• Basic technology knowledge like web/mobile or infrastructure

• Proven experience working in a technical writing position

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with end user technical documentation

• Proficiency in MS Office

• Strong attention to detail

• Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences

• Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, or Information Technology

• Strong technical aptitude, service curiosity combined with a genuine love for process, people, and writing

• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment

• Ability to explain concepts clearly, plan and organize deliverables, participate in teamwork, and posse software and computers knowledge

• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

• Experience with some kind of help authoring tool, a plus
