Location: Alpharetta, GA
Purpose and Objective: SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Support Engineer at our Alpharetta, GA location to accelerate the innovation and delivery of Ariba products, as well as collaborate with various internal organizations (engineering, operations, support, product management) to expand the Ariba cloud to cover every corner of the globe.
Expectations and Tasks: Work on internet scale-level problems and complex business problems. Work with Java, J2EE applications, Hadoop, Odata, Rest APIs and Ariba Cloud technologies. Work in cross components for the Ariba Cloud that includes all products of Ariba. Perform application deployment/design and understand the impact of deployment for large enterprises. Serve as a core member of the SAP Ariba Critical Customer Engagement Team and work on solving critical, cross logic, mission critical issues for all Ariba customers. Work from a technology/application perspective to bring in end-end business process capabilities, and ensure successful running of customer's business. Work with feature customers to ensure innovation/product adoption and sustainability. Work with engineering, operations, and support organizations to drive critical topics of customers and ensure successful and timely delivery. 30% travel required.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field of study and 6 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master’s degree and 4 years of experience.
Work Experience: Experience must involve four years of experience in Object Oriented analysis and design, with various design patterns and understanding of how to apply for real world use cases; JAVA, J2EE and Service Oriented Architecture/Enterprise service bus (ESB); application/JVM performance tuning using LoadRunner, or Wireshark; and webservices and consuming in any client application. Experience must also involve four years of experience in general architecture for any enterprise applications; middleware technologies like JMS or MQ; write/read debug database queries and provide recommendations on tuning (Oracle or MSSQL); and debugging/troubleshooting applications utilizing SPRING, HIBERNATE frameworks. 30% travel required.
