PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The mission of the SAP HANA Delivery team is to bring innovations and corrections for the SAP HANA Platform to the customer.
We plan releases, assure source code quality and ultimately transform the content of the SAP HANA source code repository into a release. Collaboration with various teams such as SAP HANA program- and product management, development, technical support as well as a vast number of internal stakeholders that build their applications on top of the SAP HANA Platform is necessary to guarantee a release in quality and in time. As a part of the SAP HANA Core Development organization, we are not shy about getting into technical discussions with development or stakeholders. We seek experienced people to extend our SAP HANA Delivery team.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Be accountable for the quality of the SAP HANA Platform source code
Assess test quality and –coverage, identify gaps and focus areas
Determine release content, schedule testing activities and rate test results
Give release recommendations and create releases
Ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and improvement of our quality processes
Build strong interaction across organizational boundaries
Live innovative thinking, identify opportunities and drive innovation
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent
Expertise in Linux or Unix
Outstanding analytical and logical skills
Strong communication skills
Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
Experience with the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery concepts and related tools (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins)
Proven experience as a developer or architect in large scale software projects, ideally in C
Knowledge of database architecture
Project management skills
3 years of working experience with proven track record in software development
Demonstrated experience in working in a distributed team over several international locations
