Title: SAP Ariba CTE Senior Consultant

Department: Application Management Services – Technology Services

Location: Alpharetta (preferred), Pittsburgh, or Home Office

Reports To: AMS Manager, North America

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for assessing and resolving functional issues and developing system solutions for the deployment and the ongoing support of Ariba cloud (OnD) and on-premise (OnP) based products and solutions. This may include support of the customer throughout the life cycle of the customer engagement. Develop functional expertise for new features and functionality.

Ariba Solution Expertise

  • Possesses ability to learn to be conversant in features, functionality and applicability of the entire Spend Management suite including Sourcing, Contracts, P2P, APC, AN, and Invoice Pro, as well as possess expert knowledge in at least one area of the Spend Management suite; in this case Upstream (Sourcing, Contracts).

  • Builds solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at Ariba and externally at the client).

  • Expert understanding of the functional processes involved in source to payment and the electronic transactions that support them

  • Advise customers on creative and flexible solutions to address customer-specific scenarios

  • Act as internal liaison with various groups within Ariba such as Technical Support, Engineering, Product Management, Best Practice Center, Solution Optimization, Release Readiness.

  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with a willingness to pick up the phone when email isn’t getting the job done

  • Establishes credibility as a conduit for solutions expertise with customers and is seen as an expert by customers (e.g., positive customer feedback).

  • Proactively collaborates with manager and teammates to anticipate and respond to issues that could impact customers.

  • Displays proactive communication (i.e., face-to-face meetings and phone calls are more frequent than emails).

Basic Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years Spend Management experience

  • BS or BA degree in a related field

  • Ability to travel on occassion (Up to 10%)

  • Strong functional and customer facing experience

  • Technical aptitude and capabilities

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment and influence others that impact success

  • Ability to travel 10%
