Purpose & Objective of Position
The NA Services Sales Internship Program is designed to Attract, Develop and Retain early talent candidates for Services Sales through the concept of a providing a jump start during the period that students in process of completing their education.
The program is run through the office of the CIOO and allows interns to work on relevant and impactful sales operations projects and activities supporting the overall mission of the program to identify and accelerate the development future full time employees. The SAP Services Sales Operations team is composed of business operations, demand generation, organizational effectiveness and productivity functions. In addition, the team orchestrates strategic growth initiatives, strategic partner relationships and education programs for the field.
Expectations & Tasks
Support initiatives around Services Sales Effectiveness, Growth, and Enablement:
Maintain regular cadence with Services Sales Enablement Program Managers and Head of Sales Effectiveness & Growth
Assist with the creation and administration of new North American Services Sales specific learning assets (outside of GCO U)
Work with subject matter experts to execute on the development of new training assets on special request (BrainShark administration, recorded learnings)
Course / eLearning assessment & survey administration / analysis
Target audience data management (HR Data, SuccessMaps Learning Job Profiles, etc.)
Author visual and written communications that accompany Growth & Enablement projects and initiatives
Special projects as relevant to strategic Sales Effectiveness, Growth, and Enablement work-streams.
Assist with program administration for Communities, NA Services Sales Personas (ie Pursuit Advisors, Early Talent, Run Simple Ambassadors), Quarterly Market Unit check-ins, and Connectional Intelligence
Data extraction, analysis, reporting for Small Deals Desk
SuccessFactors JAM / webpage creation, maintenance, and administration
Support the development of the 2017 Services Sales Performance Scorecard
Improve the format and structure of the scorecard template to increase robustness and scalability
Setup the 2017 scorecard with metrics and MU/LoS reporting capabilities
Establish a scalable and efficient mechanism to collect quarterly updates
Execute a quarterly update process
Support the development of the 2017 Services Sales “Week 4 and Week 10” summaries
Assist with the re-design/definition of the success indicators for summaries
Create/Improve the Week 4 input template for MU data collection
Collate the Week 4 data to create MU specific and NA summary reports
Improve the format and structure of the summary template to increase robustness and scalability
Establish a scalable and efficient mechanism (excel, sharepoint, JAM) to collect quarterly updates
Assist with the quarterly update process
Skills / Competencies
Fluent in English and local language, written and spoken
Demonstrated leadership in curricular, extra-curricular activities and athletics
Strong communication skills including an aptitude and passion for public speaking
Creative, curious, and resourceful self-starters with strong interpersonal skills who are eager learners (open to learning new tools and technology related to the role.)
Possess a strong desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced sales organization
Relationship oriented possessing an aptitude for quickly creating and nurturing connections with others
Multi-dimensional experiences in 2 or more of the following areas: global experience, study abroad, leadership role, entrepreneurial/self-starter, volunteerism, music, and/or other relevant extracurricular pursuits
Demonstrated sales proficiencies in 2 or more of the following areas: persuasive, passionate, curious, collaborative, strong listening skills, presence, empathy
Demonstrated intellectual maturity in 2 or more of the following areas: problem solving, tough mindedness, resilience, can do/make it happen attitude, open minded, ability to manage pressure.
Advanced Power Point skills – formatting, design, templates, etc.
Strong Excel knowledge (pivot tables, vlookups, charts, tables, conditional formatting, data validation, etc.) Light visual basic skills ideal but not mandatory
Analytical skills – ability to organize and analyze data in meaningful ways in order to highlight customer / industry trends and determine target lists
Research capabilities – ability, and interest, to poll sources of information, collect information for analysis
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and minimum completion of 2 years of study; Master’s students preferred
Preference will be given to graduates with a Sales related degree or concentration in Business Administration, Marketing & Communications and Business Logistics (SCM)
If applicable, maximum of 5 years of work experience in a sales environment
If applicable, proven record of customer facing sales success and direct quota-carrying experience is strongly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of business processes and industry trends (Manufacturing, Consumer Products, Professional Services, and Retail etc.)
Relevant projects that demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic that delivers high quality deliverables; must be able to manage up and actively check in / provide status to direct team and project team members
