Purpose and Objectives:

Partner Service Delivery (PSD) is a global organisation focused on the proactive and reactive enablement over 6,000 SAP partners globally (Sell, Service and Build). The team offers a range of enablement and support services to SAP’s Partner Ecosystem.

  • This role is a highly responsible business relationship management role where the candidate develops and maintains a 1:1 professional relationship with a number of designated SAP Partners.

  • The PSA proactively drives the relationship with the partner and will have a series of remote 1:1 meetings, with the emphasis on identifying the partner’s business needs and building a long term relationship. With this regular interaction the PSA is then able to identify and offer advice on areas of the Partners business that would benefit from our extensive portfolio of enablement services.

  • The PSA will maintain focus on increasing partner satisfaction and productivity, while contributing to SAP’s growth strategy. The PSA is also expected to build a network of strong relationships with key stakeholders inside the SAP organisation, to ensure that there is full alignment in communicating with the partners. The PSA is measured on the successful execution of the enablement plan per partner, with most services measurable through partner action or revenue performance. The PSA is also measured based on Partner Satisfaction of their assigned partners.

Expectations and Tasks:

  • Clear understanding of partnership management in IT space

  • Knowledge of sales/marketing & partner relationship process

  • Understanding of end-to-end business processes and how cloud computing will affect the business

  • Demonstrable strong interpersonal and team-working abilities, coaching skills an advantage

  • Problem Analysis and problem resolution abilities

  • Strong level of technical credibility from the partner’s perspective, as such a strong IT/Software industry background is an advantage

  • Prepare and deliver product messaging to highlight SAP Cloud Platform’s value proposition and unique differentiators

  • Relationship building/networking capabilities

  • Provide to assigned partners operational support and enablement services to facilitate partner’s interaction with SAP and guarantee a successful collaboration

  • Trouble-shooting various issues the partner is facing in his partnership program, processes as well as systems and portals.

  • Proactively deliver services to assigned partners that help them improve their performance and revenue contribution to SAP.

  • Contribute to the overall partner experience and thus improve the partner satisfaction

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience in a customer/partner facing role

  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies and solutions in the cloud/IT Technology space with focus on Cloud and SaaS.

  • Knowledge and technical experience of SAP would be a distinct advantage

  • A pro-active and result-oriented team-player with strong communication skills (verbal & written)

  • Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks

  • Able to work at all levels in an organisation and possess strong stature and presence. Must be highly credible both internally and externally

Work Experience:

  • Minimum experience in any of the following areas:

  • Account Management in the Software / IT Industry sector

  • Pre Sales

  • Professional services & support roles

  • Partner management

  • Consulting

  • Business/IT Degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience with support systems, message handling and remote communication tools
