Job Description and Expectations
Largely anchored on the Industry and Value Advisory Practice, SAP is the enterprise software industry benchmark for value-based selling and maintains this leadership through strength of industry, a proven methodology, unique collaborative benchmarking tools and extraordinary talent.
SAP is seeking expand its Industry and Value Advisory Practice with additional Industry Advisors who are responsible for business development of the high-tech market. These experienced consultative sales professionals work with field sales, internal partners and third parties to define, build and execute programs that grow the high-tech market for SAP. Industry Advisors must work independently to find the right balance across three dimensions of the role: face-to-face customer engagements, one-to-many speaking engagements and program management responsibilities which include; marketing requirements and overall market development. Additional responsibilities include:
Collaboratively developing and executing an industry business plan including market segmentation, solution portfolio, new product introduction, partner strategy, demand generation plan and sales support.
Identify and work with key implementation and software partners to provide better market leverage and deliver more complete solutions to customers.
Partnering with field sales teams to identify revenue opportunities, create account strategies, and execute sales plays.
Evangelize the SAP High-Tech strategy with key customers to expand the value potential and align deeper engagements with Industry and Value Advisory Practice.
Regularly presenting the SAP High-Tech strategy and related content, tailored to specific a customer audience or to group audiences at SAP and 3 rd party events
Engaging with High-Tech executives to explore opportunities where SAP and its ecosystem can help across the full spectrum of the business.
Provide Industry thought leadership and development of SAP's brand through content creation and presentations, social and traditional media interviews, etc.
Evangelizing personality that enjoys public speaking.
Proven success with challenger-sales type engagements.
Proven success in business development, ideally a strategic thinker who operates hands-on.
Product marketing acumen (segment, target, content, lead strategy, etc.)
Published thought leader related to or parallel to the high-tech industry.
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in operations or management consulting. Sales experience required.
Minimum 5 years of experience delivering technology to companies in the high-tech Industry
Experience in diverse technology landscape and process/technology integration issues, SAP technologies preferred
Fluency in any foreign language an asset
MBA or equivalent degree required from a top university
